Wide Flange

Wide flange or I-beam is a structural material known for its ability to withstand load and its great resistance to bending. It is ideal for constructing homes, bridges, and other structures such as highway ramps and overpasses. As the name suggests, it resembles the shape of a letter I, formed by two parts: the web and the flanges. Flanges are the steel beams that are parallel to one another while the web connects the 2 flanges.
